About the Training

This interactive training is designed for staff at all levels – from frontline support workers to coordinators, team leaders, and managers – to:

  • Build resilience and prevent burnout

  • Strengthen inclusion and cultural safety in practice

  • Improve feedback and supervision practices

  • Enhance client outcomes through practical empathy tools

Delivered over two 1.5-hour online sessions, participants will learn repeatable tools that can be applied immediately in their work with clients, colleagues, and teams.

 

Session Breakdown

Session 1 – Understanding People Better: Healthy Empathy & Biases

  • Learn what healthy empathy is (and isn’t)

  • Explore the three types of empathy and how to balance them to prevent burnout

  • Unpack unconscious biases and improve interactions with clients, colleagues, and leadership

Session 2 – Communicating with Care: Emotional Regulation & Empathetic Feedback

  • Develop emotional regulation strategies to stay grounded under pressure

  • Build emotional literacy to understand and name feelings in yourself and others

  • Apply practical tools to give feedback that supports staff wellbeing and strengthens relationships
