For Parents

Thank you for stopping by.

Firstly, we’d like to acknowledge the special role you play in the life of your loved one; you are doing an incredible job.

We see you.

A lot of clients we mentor have parents or loved ones who are concerned for their future in an ever-changing world. What will happen to my child after I am gone? How will they cope?

At Towards Better we work collaboratively with you, your child, and their wider support network to create a sustainable plan for their future. A future filled with possibility and a sprinkling of impossibility (our forte).

We believe there are endless opportunities for growth, learning and the realisation of living a good life. Everyone is an individual and we provide a customised, flexible, and intuitive service to act as a bridge to pathways for community connection. We get to know your child to discover their interests, skills and abilities and use this as the foundation to plan for future goals.

It takes courage to get from where you are now to the life you envision for your loved one and we understand that taking the first step is scary. We would love to talk to you about how we can guide your child to have a greater sense of belonging in their community, outside of their current support network.

You deserve the best, the very best, because you are one of the few people in this lousy world who are honest to themselves, and that is the only thing that really counts

We have some tried and tested strategies to guide your loved one towards their personal goals and valued connection with community.

Every family we work with is unique and our flexibility allows us to vary our approach at any point in time. Your best interests, and that of your loved one, guides our plan. Always.

Here are some strategies we use in our individual mentoring and what to expect when you work with us:
