Use all your Resources for a Good Life

Ideal for: Infant to 25 years of age

Overview: The creation of a small group of committed thoughtful, voluntary people who assist to achieve goals and safeguard interests into the future. Each Circle of Support is unique, and its purpose, membership, and other details are decided by (and for) you and your family. The facilitator will get to know you and your family and identify who may be encouraged into the Circle of Support. The Circle of Support meets regularly and works together with you to explore and express your vision for your life.

An Independent Facilitator can help to:

  • Develop a Circle of Support, like an advisory board for life!
  • Identify a vision for a full, meaningful and inclusive life and priorities for the next 1-2 years
  • Outline your ideal circle of support and its purpose
  • Brainstorm people you will invite to be members of your circle of support and what’s expected
  • Assist with asking and inviting people
  • Strengthen your Circle of Support
  • Plan for continuity, reflective learning and succession opportunities
  • Plan and prepare for Circle meetings
  • Facilitate Circle meetings
  • Outline strategies for communication, outcome measurement, feedback and reflective learning
  • Train Circle members and connect to further resources
